Hot Tub Policy

By booking with us you must agree to our rules of using our hot tubs.

  1.  Anyone under the age of 18 yrs must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years and over.
  2.  No jewellery to be worn when using the hot tub.
  3.  No make up/fake tanning products, body creams, lotions, sun oil or oils of any kind etc, are to be worn whilst using the hot tub, it is very damaging to both the hot tub filter and its filtration system, if ignored you will be charged for damages.
  4.  We ask that all guests shower before using the hot tub, this ensures the complete removal of all perfumes/scents and products we’ve mentioned above.

These products equally are damaging to the hot tubs filtration system and will incur a damage charge if ignored.

  1.  After leaving the hot tub please shower to ensure you’ve removed all chlorine from your body, bathing costumes and shorts.
  2.  Never add anything to the hot tub water ie, bath bombs, bubble bath, bath oils, soaps, shampoo/ conditioner etc, yet again, these all equally damage the filteration system and you will incur a damages fee.
  3.  Do not use the hot tub during severe weather conditions ie, high winds, torrential rain, thunderstorms, sleet and snow, it is very dangerous to the users and damaging to the hot tub.
  4. Alcohol and hot tubs do not mix!  drinking alcohol whilst using a hot tub is very dangerous, as a hot tub causes your blood vessels to dilate, which in turn will cause your blood pressure to rise, this means that alcohol will get into your blood stream quicker and circulate through your body faster which will have a greater effect on you than normal.  The heat of the hot tub and the alcohol combined can cause severe dehydration and possible heat exhaustion.

If you feel any of the following symptoms then get out of the hot tub immediately:

Lightheadedness

Dizziness

Nausea

Rapid heartbeat

Fainting

Fatigue

Severe headache

Extreme sweating.

  1.  In consideration to our residential neighbouring properties the hot tubs should not be used after 23.00 hrs, no music is to be played and we ask that you keep voices to a minimum.
  2. Please take care when using the hot tub and do not run around on the decking area as it can become quite slippery underfoot when wet.
  3. Drinks may be consumed around the hot tub area, however, we do not allow under any circumstances for glass drinking vessels to be used whilst you are sat in and using the hot tub, please provide your own plastic glasses and try not to spill anything into the water.
  4. Make sure that all users of the hot tub know exactly where the main isolater power switch is in case of any emergencies, but please, do not use this to turn the hot tub off at any other time as this will shut the heater off and the hot tub will very quickly cool down.
  5. At no point must anyone sit, stand or walk on top of the hot tub lid/cover (including small children and pets).  The hot tub covers crack very easily and if this does happen due to the above mentioned then you will be charged for a replacement one.
  6. Do not use the hot tub if you have skin, ear, genital or any other bodily infections, open sores or wounds.  At no point should the hot tub be used by yourself or anyone else if you or they suffer from any of the above, as this could cause the spread of infection, disease and irritate and worsen a pre-existing condition further, but will also contaminate the hot tub facility.
  7. Do not use the hot tub continuously for more than 2 hours at a time, this is first and foremost no good for your health and secondly, running the pump and leaving the cover off for longer will result in temperature loss and deterioration of water quality.

Recommended guidelines suggest that you should only ever use a hot tub for 15-30 minutes at a time and with a maximum of 45 minutes at any one time.

  1. Do not eat or smoke in the hot tub and never fully immerse your head under the water.
  2. When the hot tub is not in use, the cover/lid should be closed as leaving the cover off for prolonged periods of time will only reduce the water temperature which in turn will ruin your glamping experience and enjoyment.
  3. No children under the age of 5 years are allowed to use the hot tubs and never leave children of any age unattended at any time on the decking area of your pod, this includes even if the hot tub is not being used and the cover is on and fully closed.
  4. Please do not interfere with the decking areas festoon lights timer switch ie, altering the timer or unplugging it completely.

 HOT TUB DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES

Any damages to the hot tub, cover, vinyl cover, lifting systems, controls, filtration, electronics etc, will be charged Accordingly.

In the case of miss-use and/or not following the guidelines set out above which then results in the hot tub facility having to be shut down due to contamination, chemical imbalance or any other damage etc, will be charged accordingly.

Any maintenance required as a result of the introduction of any pollutants added to the hot tub water ie, soap, shampoo, conditioner bath bombs, bubble bath, body oils etc, will incur a charge.

Any charges incurred will be fully detailed with photographic evidence provided and sent via E-mail and a covering postal letter.

Finally, you use the hot tub at your own risk, Crabmill Glamping will not be held responsible for you or anyone in your parties safety.

CHARGES FOR DAMAGES

a) To empty, clean and re-fill the hot tub £55.00

b) Damages will be charged at cost, plus labour at £20.00 per hour

c) If we have follow-on guests that cancel their stay with us due to the hot tub not being available as a result of damage caused by miss-use from previous leaving guests, then their total booking cost will have to be covered including any of the points above.
